Parking Rules and Regulations

Parking rules and regulations are enforced from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week.
Handicap and safety zones are enforced 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, unless otherwise posted. Parking policy and procedures may change without prior notice as deemed necessary.
All vehicles must display either a valid lot permit or visitor permit during enforcement hours. After 4 p.m., Monday-Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday, vehicles with any valid campus permit, except “CC” (Canyon Crest Housing residents), may park in any campus lot. Campus permits are not allowed in metered or 24 hr. reserved spaces during enforcement hours.
The following areas are enforced 24 hours a day: Lothian, A & I, Bannockburn, University Plaza, red zones, fire lanes, bicycle lanes, walkways, steam plant, handicapped spaces, and grass areas. Any vehicles blocking roadways or creating hazardous conditions will be cited and/or towed.
Marked Spaces: All timed and marked spaces are enforced 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Parking “Head-in”: All vehicles are to park “head-in” to the parking spaces except where there are parallel spaces. All vehicles must park with the flow of traffic.
Driving on Sidewalks or Footpaths: Driving on any sidewalk or campus footpath is specifically prohibited at all times except by special permission of the Police or Parking Services.
Loading Dock Areas: Vehicles with valid permits are allowed to park in marked stalls at the loading docks after the posted time.
Bicycle Parking: No person shall park, store, or leave a bicycle in such a manner as to cause said bicycle to block or otherwise impede normal entrance to or exit from any building on the University. No bicycle shall be parked, stored or left within that distance. No bicycle shall be parked, stored or left on any building access or egress ramp
Parking Representatives cannot accept money, give refunds, or make change. They are not expected to look for or follow notes of explanation.
The maximum parking lot speed limit is 10 miles per hour. Parking services may temporarily close or modify any parking space or facility if deemed necessary. Every attempt will be make to provide advance notice. Users are required to observe all regular and special parking regulations. Any vehicle entering a barricaded area or passing a barricade may be cited, immobilized (booted), or towed.
