Mail Services acts as liaison between the campus and the U.S. Postal Service. All types of U.S.P.S. mail and special services can be handled through Mail Services, with the exception of Money Orders and COD. Processed U.S. mail is dispatched twice daily to the U.S.P.S. Mail Services makes one last mail pick up at the Administration building between 4:00 and 4:15 pm. This special pick up is only for mail that missed the afternoon run, but must be processed for dispatch to the U.S. Postal Service at 4:30 pm.
Mail can also be taken to Mail Services between 4:30 and 5:00 to receive postage, but it must then be taken to the Post Office by the requesting department.
Mail to other UC campuses should be sealed and fully addressed with name, appropriate UC campus, city, state and zip code, and complete return address. It should be clearly marked "Via Bus" or "Berkeley Packet".
DO NOT USE INTERDEPARTMENT ENVELOPES FOR MAILING TO ANOTHER CAMPUS
The campus bus departs from UCR Mail Services with mail addressed to the following campuses at approximately 7:45 am, Monday through Friday, holidays excepted. There is no charge for this service. There is a 25 pound weight limit on material being sent via bus.

UCSB - Santa Barbara
UCI - Irvine
The campus bus arrives back at UCR Mail Services to deliver mail addressed to UC Riverside from the above campuses at approximately 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, holidays excepted.
Express packet service from UCR to UC Berkeley, (Oakland) and is maintained daily, Monday through Friday. Mail for this packet service should be clearly marked "Berkeley Express" and should reach Mail Services prior to 4:15 pm. Please allow one day for delivery to Berkeley and two days for delivery to Oakland and Davis.
